At Qathet Rentals, we understand that plans can change. This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains how cancellations, modifications, and refunds are handled for vehicle reservations.


1. General Policy

All reservations are subject to availability. Cancellations and modifications must be made by contacting Qathet Rentals directly via email or phone. Policies may vary during peak seasons or for specialty vehicles.


2. Free Cancellation Window

Customers may cancel a reservation free of charge up to 48 hours before the scheduled pickup time.

Cancellations made more than 48 hours in advance will receive:

  • full refund of any prepaid amount
  • No cancellation fees

3. Cancellations Within 48 Hours

If you cancel within 48 hours of your scheduled pickup time:

  • cancellation fee equal to one day’s rental charge will apply.
  • Any remaining prepaid balance will be refunded.

4. Same-Day Cancellations / No-Shows

The following apply if:

  • You cancel on the same day as pickup,
  • You fail to appear for your reservation, or
  • You fail to provide required documents (ID, driver’s licence, credit card)

Then:

  • The reservation is considered a no-show.
  • No refunds will be issued.
  • The full rental amount for the first day will be charged.

Vehicles will not be held beyond 1 hour past the scheduled pickup time unless prior arrangements have been made.


5. Early Returns

Returning the vehicle before the agreed date does not qualify for a refund of unused rental days.
Exceptions may be made in the case of:

  • Mechanical issues
  • Vehicle defects
  • Safety concerns

These situations must be reported immediately.


6. Modifying a Reservation

Modifications may include:

  • Pickup or return time changes
  • Vehicle class changes
  • Adding or removing optional services

Within 48 hours:
You may be charged a modification fee or rate adjustment depending on availability.

More than 48 hours before pickup:
No modification fee. Price changes may apply based on current rates.


7. Weather, Travel Issues & External Circumstances

Qathet Rentals is not responsible for:

  • Flight cancellations or delays
  • Ferry disruptions
  • Road closures
  • Personal emergencies
  • Weather conditions

Standard cancellation terms apply.


8. Refund Processing

Approved refunds will be:

  • Returned to the same payment method used for booking
  • Processed within 5–10 business days
  • Subject to bank processing times

Qathet Rentals is not responsible for delays caused by financial institutions.


9. Special Vehicles, Seasonal Rentals, & Long-Term Agreements

For specialty vehicles, long-term rentals, or peak-season periods, additional cancellation terms may apply.

These terms will be clearly stated on:

  • The booking confirmation
  • The rental agreement
  • The invoice or quote
